Using teaching techniques developed in part by the American Riding Instructors Association, our instructors introduce and reinforce knowledge of handling a horse from the ground and while mounted. Although our instructors are not currently certified by TTEAM or Centered Riding, theses approaches are utilized. Lessons emphasize fun, safety, a balanced seat, communication with your horse, and personal growth, whether in a Western, Hunt Seat or Dressage saddle. Learn basic horsemanship skills and preparation for jumping, dressage, or gymkhana, on horses and Welsh ponies. A certified riding instructor is available, and handicapped riders can be accommodated. Riding helmets and boots are required and provided by Esprit De Corps Private lessons are available for those adults who have never ridden or intermediate/advanced riders who wish to work on specific aspects of riding. Gentle stretching routines and stress reduction exercises are done both on and off the horse, and immediate biofeedback from the horse can help you grow. Trail riding lessons are our specialty. If you have never ridden on a trail, or have only been on nose-to-tail trail rides, this is for you. We first teach you the basics of handling a horse in the mountains, including riding on hills on our property, and then ride out to unsurpassed scenic views. Half day and full day riding excursions, including trotting and cantering are possible, depending on fitness level. Rates Small Group One Hour $55

Beautiful scenery, views, flora and fauna, etc., but best of all you were a fun leader and we had a great group! G. S., New Hampshire My wife and I had the most wonderful experience. We saw the island in a way that no other excursion could come close to! Don't miss this ride! J. V., Colorado The half day ride was the highlight of my trip! Your attention to detail, the stretching, the beautiful trail, the safely footed horses and the knowledge I learned about the island were unsurpassed! The horses were beautiful and well behaved. Thank you! A. D., England We have been on 2 to 3 trail rides prior to Esprit De Corps, but yours was by far the best! You obviously took time to match up the horses to the riders, and the orientation exercises helped us feel much more comfortable. Thank you for a great time. J.C., Texas The all day ride is a must to do, and you get a good feel for the island's terrain. We had a wonderful time! Thank you for all the great info about the trees, trails and plants. The ride was beautiful, especially seeing all the waterfalls. I feel like this is one of the best ways to see the island. Thank you B. G., Arizona Thank you very much for this fantastic adventure! This was my first time on a horse and I loved it. I assure you the next time on Kauai, we will be back at Esprit de Corps, rain or shine. Even though it rained the entire time it didn't dampen our spirits. Thank you! M. A., Ohio Dale, you were wonderful! The experience was well worth the sore butt and legs that I'm currently feeling! A very thorough and professional outfit I might add! Fondly, B.G., New York Truly an enchanted way to see Kauai! C.C., Illinois
We had a great afternoon, what a super ride! Great commentary, the best part of our trip to Kauai! D.H., California
Dale, you were a great guide! I had such a wonderful time. The trip was well worth the money and I'm so glad I had the chance to ride on such a wonderful trail! D. W., Seattle
